Youth/Student Ministry

What do the youth/students at FBCG do?

Learn About Jesus

Have you ever asked, "Who is Jesus?" Even in the Bible, during Jesus' time, people questioned him.

In Matthew 16: 13-15 it is written:

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

Who do you say Jesus is? What do you know about Him?

In John 14:6  it is written:

Jesus told him “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

But what does that mean? How does it apply to you? Don't just wonder about these things come, meet and talk with other students.

Make Friends

In the Bible when friends gather it is called 'Fellowship'

In Hebrews 10:24-25 it is written: And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Learn About Discipleship

What is a disciple? What does it mean?

In Acts 2:42 it is written:  And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to the prayers.

In Luke 14:27 it is written:  Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after Me cannot be my disciple.

Why is discipleship important?

In Matthew 28:19-20 it is written:  Then Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

The Lottie Moon
Christmas Offering

Since 1918, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® is an annual offering collected by Southern Baptists to support international missions. The offering was officially named in 1918 by Woman’s Missionary Union in honor of the missionary to China who urged churches to start it and give sacrificially. The 2020 the Lottie Moon Christmas Offerings enabled Southern Baptists to give over $5 billion to international missions. 100% of every gift is sent directly to missionaries on the field so they can take the good news of Jesus to every corner of the earth.

"So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Stay alert!  Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering your are" (1 Peter 5:6-9 NLT)
